Job Responsibilities:
The Surveillance Operator is responsible for observing, documenting, and reporting all activity on property to protect property assets, guests and employees; and for maintaining close surveillance of all gaming and cash-handling areas.
Essential Duties / Core Competencies:
- Monitor activities of guests and employees on the casino floor, cage, change booths and count rooms via closed-circuit television (CCTV) system and personal observation, for criminal activities and/or violations of regulations, policies and procedures, or internal controls.
- Utilizes necessary equipment to identify record and document illegal and/or unusual activities occurring in areas under surveillance and reports same to appropriate personnel.
- Video tapes questionable activities and make written reports to appropriate personnel.
- Monitors alarm system.
- Reviews tapes associated with jackpots.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all property related issues.
- Operates monitor room equipment, including basic computer functions.
- Participates in court actions relating to gaming violations.
- Protects the assets of the company.
- Performs audits on gaming assets and analyzes gaming data.
- Prepare and write daily reports and logs.
- Operates all surveillance computer equipment.
- Ensures all surveillance equipment is working correctly throughout their shift.
- Conducts routine surveillance video recording and complete documentation to detect suspicious activities and behavior throughout casino and gaming areas.
- Monitors the hotel and casino operations to ensure adherence to the state regulations and company policies and procedures.

Knowledge/Work Experience:
- Must be at least 18 years old and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the applicable statute, rules and regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- Must have minimum of One (1) years’ experience, knowledge or observation of table games or casino surveillance experience.
- Casino, Surveillance or Asian table games experience preferred.
